As FlyDogs we strive to always represent the club and its members in a positive light. We value positive communication within our club and out in the community.
As FlyDogs we strive to always treat each other with respect, kindness, empathy, and compassion. We value active listening, hearing multiple points of view, and trying new things.
As FlyDogs we always accept all breeds and speeds without regard to athletic ability as long as the dog can play the sport safely. We value the right of any dog to learn and play dog sports like flyball and agility, and to be part of a weekly club.
As FlyDogs we strive to grow member-satisfaction through organized FlyDog activities. We value loyal and thoughtful participation in our club and in our training ideas and practices.
About us and Lessons
What is Flyball? Flyball races match two teams of four dogs each, racing side-by-side over a 51 foot long course. Each dog must run in relay fashion down the jumps, trigger a flyball box, releasing the ball, retrieve the ball, and return over the jumps. The next dog is released to run the course but can’t cross the start/finish line until the previous dog has returned over all 4 jumps and reached the start/finish line. The first team to have all 4 dogs finish the course without error wins the heat.
